Now I hate how the gunners on Dark Eldar vehicles stand around, they break all the time for me, it annoys me to no end. So on my venoms I re-modelled them for the Splinter Cannons to be on the under side of the model and magnetised them to show weapon damage.
But now the kickers, this changes fire arcs, its hard to start with to know fire arcs on Dark Eldar vehicles let alone once they have been re-modelled. I will be running them as both have 180 fire arc to the fount of the Venom, with range being from the weapon. As I see it this is a reduction in effective advantage form modelling.
1. One of the splinter cannons if placed as the kit intended would have been further forward, hence I have lost range.
2. The second splinter cannon normally on top of the venom with a gunner, has kept the same range, but lost fire arc as being on top gave a 360 fire arc.
So that's my reasoning, I also really like how these came up as a model. I'm used to rage about my play style and how I push the rules, so I fully see this being anther source of drama for me to have fun with.
